Hatch The Future, Wednesday May 20th Canceled
Given the safety guidance for COVID-19, we sadly must cancel our annual Hatch the Future celebration of One Hen youth entrepreneurs at District Hall, originally scheduled for Wednesday, May 20th. But we invite you to both celebrate and support our young social entrepreneurs other ways.
We are now hatching the future of One Hen via virtual service-learning: Please check it out! Every Monday, we release a new instructional video that teaches important lessons in creating products at home that can be used at this time to encourage others and raise awareness of needs. During the remainder of the week, we expand on that lesson through fun challenges and highlight contributions we receive throughout the week. These lessons can be incorporated into home-based schooling in ELA and social studies or after school fun. Additionally, we are launching a “Community Kindness” venture where youth entrepreneurs local and global can create businesses to design and send e-cards to health care workers, the elderly and any at risk or courageously responding during the pandemic. Please visit our Facebook Service Learning page and support us by liking, sharing, and commenting!
One Hen co-founder and Boston Scores Leadership Council member, Monique Muri, has made a gift of $10,000 in lieu of an event sponsorship and has committed to donating an additional $15,000 as a match if we raise $25,000 by May 1st! Please consider supporting the program with a donation today to double your impact!
