Sales Pitch Challenge

Pitching Your Business Idea!

Over the last few weeks, you’ve thought about global or local causes that are important to you and  come up with a business that you could start to try to solve those issues.

Now let’s think about how we would explain (or “pitch”) that idea to others: our family, friends, potential customers or investors.

This week’s challenge: Watch Coach Gaby & Coach Nelson’s video and then write down a short sales pitch explaining why your business idea matters.

Logo & Slogan Challenge

Thinking About Branding & Marketing

In the last couple of challenges, you’ve thought about global or local causes that are important to you and perhaps even come up with a business that you could start to try to solve those issues.

Now it’s time to think about getting the word out!

This week’s challenge: Imagine you’ve created a business to address a problem in your community. What would your business name be? What would your logo look like? How about a catchy slogan?

Click on the SHARE button above to share your cause, your logo and your slogan with us. Hand-drawn or computer-generated designs are both fine!

We’ll post some of our favorite student ideas to Facebook and Instagram at the end of the week!

Global Awareness & Causes Challenge

Thinking About Global Awareness & Causes

…is this week’s Service Learning theme. Coaches Gaby & Nelson help us think up some of the issues that face our local, national and global communities.

This week’s challenge: Imagine you were given money to create a product or start a business that could help fix an issue in your local community or even worldwide.  What cause would you choose? What product or service would you create to meet this need?

Click on the SHARE button above to share your cause with us and business idea with us.

We’ll post some of our favorite student ideas to Facebook and Instagram at the end of the week!

Wants vs. Needs Challenge

Exploring Wants vs. Needs…

…is this week’s Service Learning theme. Coach Gaby talks about some of our most essential needs like food, water, shelter & clothing.

Can you think of one essential thing that you need to add to that list?  Take a photo that represents this essential need and share it with us by clicking the Upload button above!

Create a Card or e-Card!

Giving Back…

…is this week’s Service Learning theme. Coach Gaby introduces the concept of Social Entrepreneurship. A social entrepreneur is someone who builds a business that seeks to address a problem in their local community or the wider world.

What are some simple ways that we can give back to our community and our loved ones while schools are closed and we are isolated at home?  One place we can start is with a homemade greeting card, either hand-crafted or digital. Coach Gaby shows you the supplies you’ll need.  You can also check out more card-crafting videos below to spark your imagination!

After you’ve checked out the videos, try to make your own card for a loved one or a community member in need.

Send us a picture of your card or a video of you making it by clicking the Upload Button above. We’ll post some of our favorites to Facebook and Instagram each week!
